Great food starts long before it reaches the plate. Everything we serve at Laughing Dog, whether it's your morning coffee, a stack of pancakes, or a full breakfast, begins with the people who grew it, roasted it, or made it with care.
We work with a small, considered selection of suppliers who share our belief that quality ingredients make all the difference. Some are local producers based right here in Brighton. Others are specialists and makers from across the UK whose standards we simply couldn't say no to.
We're proud to know where our food comes from and even prouder to introduce you to the people behind it.
Murmurtion Coffee
Formed to improve and redefine the specialty coffee Industry.
The name Murmuration was chosen because of the implication of unity, teamwork, strong relationships and connection to the natural world. These elements reflect our company values and mission as we all work towards the shared goal of a fairer, safer and protected future for all.
Our Philosophy
We aim to showcase the hard work of our partner farmers via transparent roasting, drawing out natural sweetness, acidity and texture from the beautiful coffees we purchase.
Real Patisserie
Since 1997, Real Patisserie has sold good bread to good people.
Founded by Paris-trained patissier Alastair Gourlay and his wife Annie, our bakery was born out of a love of quality ingredients and authentic baking.
While our range and reach has grown over the years, what hasn't changed is the respect that goes into every loaf. Or our commitment to charging an honest price for honest bread.
Boho Gelato
Since 2010 we have been hand making quality and creative Italian style ice cream daily in our kitchen at 6 Pool Valley, Brighton using local milk & cream delivered straight from the local farm every morning.
All of our flavours are suitable for vegetarians and we always have an exciting selection of vegan and non gluten containing flavours for you to choose from.
Boho Gelato is an independent producer of award winning artisan South Italian style ice cream & sorbet in Brighton since 2010.
Gelatiere Seb Cole and his team use locally produced milk & cream and the best quality ingredients from around the world to create our ever changing line up from over 500 flavours.
Boho also specialise in next level vegan gelato and have been listed in the top ten ice creams in the UK! We now have two Brighton locations as well as shops in Worthing with all ice cream being made daily in house.
Brighton Sausage Company
Brighton Sausage Co began in 2006.
Started by friends and colleagues David Barr & Paul Gilks at 28a Gloucester Road in the heart of Brighton's North Laine, with the intention to offer quality food produce at an affordable price, all provided with a dollop of old-fashioned personal service.
Nearly 20 years later, we are still there and still true to these original founding principles. In the early years our sausages were produced on site at the shop in Brighton, we have since added a bespoke production unit along the coast in Lancing, from where we manufacture a range of our own products including Sausages (of course!), Bacon, Burgers, Sausage Rolls, Vegan Sausages & Burgers.
We are proud to have supplied these products for the last 19 years to many of Brighton's best hospitality venues and eateries.
