Sophie Harvey

A textile artist from Worthing, Sophie creates work with natural fibres and fabric-based processes. Her practice explores textiles as part of the human experience, the materials we wear, live with and pass on, as a means of connection. The work moves between structured often quilted, material-led pieces and brighter appliquéd, often text-based compositions. Across both approaches, there is a focus on construction, clarity of form and the communicative potential of cloth.
